Servo Marine Stern grades are mineral oils. Vessels trading in US waters under VGP need an Environmentally Acceptable Lubricant (EAL) — ask us for the current SERVO bio-based option.

The stern tube bearing carries the full weight of the propeller shaft. If seals wear, seawater enters the oil. A good stern tube oil keeps a protective film on the bearing even with some water present and protects against corrosion.
Vessels operating in US waters under the Vessel General Permit must use an EAL wherever oil can leak to sea. Servo Marine Stern grades are mineral oils, so ask Interflow about the current SERVO bio-based option for VGP trades.
Equivalents are indicative, matched on SAE grade, base number and ISO viscosity. Always confirm against the engine or equipment maker's approval list before switching. Interflow provides product data sheets and OEM approval letters on request.
Regular sampling for water content is the earliest warning of seal wear. Interflow's condition monitoring package tracks water, viscosity and wear metals so you can plan seal work before damage occurs.
